About The Artist

I’m Karolina Connolly, and I’m a contemporary mixed-media artist that was born and raised in Ukraine. But now, I work from a cozy home studio in Greenville, SC.

As far as I remember, I was always obsessed with art since I was a little girl. Unfortunately, my family didn’t feel the same way about my passion, so I was encouraged to choose a ‘more serious career path.’ So that’s what I did…I got a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, which sparked my love and interest for travel, different cultures, and traditions, which today translates into lots of my art pieces.

Years passed, and I still barely had any free time to do art and pursue my dream. Despite years of doubt and uncertainty, I’ve never given up on my dream of becoming an artist. At some point, I just felt like I am no longer growing. 2020 made me clearly realize, if not now, then when! I no longer wanted to waste any more time waiting for change; I was gonna become it.

That’s around the time I moved to America and enrolled in Milan Art Institute, which empowered me and gave me tools to pursue my dream and rewrite my story. I’m so happy I found enough courage to start over and listen to my own heart!

My story is proof that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. I hope that my work and story can inspire you to do the same!
